Tim is an airline pilot for United Airlines. He began flying at the young age of 10 years old following his passion. He later went on to obtain his Bachelors in Science at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Tim is a member of the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, mentoring the youth in the aviation industry, and currently serves as President of the board for Genesis Hopeful Haven.
Tax Integration Manager | Berkowitz Pollack Brant
Eboni Moss currently resides in Miami, FL and serves as a Tax Integration Manager at Berkowitz Pollack Brant. Having graduated from Georgia State University with her M.S. in Taxation, Eboni went on to sharpen her skills as a Tax Contractor, Tax Manager and Supervisor at a number of tax organizations in Atlanta, including Deloitte Tax, Moss Solutions Group and Bennett Thrasher. With her expertise in taxes and finance as well as previous experience as a Board Member for the Women’s Employment Opportunity Project, Eboni makes an excellent addition to Genesis Hopeful Haven’s Board.

Veronica Meza was born and raised in Norwalk, CT. She earned her bachelor's in law and society, with honors, from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She graduated from the University of Miami School of Law with her juris doctor in May 2010. She is a Senior Associate at GrayRobinson, P.A. where she represents clients in commercial litigation disputes and international arbitration matters. Veronica is a board member of Genesis Hopeful Haven. Of Colombian descent, Veronica loves to dance salsa, and is a former member of professional dance teams in Los Angeles, California and Orlando, Florida.

John-Marra Youte is the Director of Admissions for Year Up South Florida. Prior to joining Year Up Providence full time in 2008, John-Marra served as a mentor, a Program Specialist, an Adolescent Outreach Worker, a Life Coach and a Career Development Field Coordinator. John-Marra received his Masters of Education in Psychological Studies from Cambridge College and his B.S. in African History from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. After many years in Massachusetts, John-Marra and his family moved back to South Florida, where he currently resides. His continued goal is to spark the minds of young adults to bring true change to South Florida and the world.

Rachel Walker is the CSS Associate Project Manager for Urban Strategies in Miami, Florida. Her career within the non-profit industry began in March of 1995, in which she served as the Affordable Home Mortgage Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director and Board of Directors for the P.U.L.S.E. There Rachel became one of the lead coordinators with the Miami-Dade Housing Alliance, which consisted of HUD, Fannie Mae, PULSE, Miami Dade Affordable Housing, Inc., and local banks throughout the county. She currently serves as the community liaison for the Northpark at Scott Carver community, in which she oversees a comprehensive service network that connects children and families to viable supportive services.

Angela Prugh recently moved from Chicago to Miami to be more involved with GHH. She currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors and also participates in the Marketing Committee, Fundraising Committee, and spending free time with the kids.

Caryn Lavernia serves as Assistant Vice President for Engagement at Florida International University where she works on behalf of the university to build triple win partnerships that benefit students/faculty, the partner, and ultimately the global community. In a past life, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer and a founding member of City Year Miami. Caryn currently serves as the VP of the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of South Florida and a board member at Genesis Hopeful Haven. She is a proud alum of Miami Fellows Class VIII.
Chief Operations Officer | Children’s Trust
Vivianne arrived at The Trust after serving in leadership roles at City Year, Inc. where she concentrated on establishing transformational school district partnerships, implementing City Years’ service model and leading the organization in strategic planning and goal-setting. Prior to City Year, Vivianne served as the Education and Policy Director for Mayor Manny Diaz, former mayor of Miami. Vivianne is a Miami native who earned her B.A. in Mathematics Education from Florida International University. Vivianne proudly serves on the board of Genesis Hopeful Haven which focuses on some of the greatest needs within the foster care system- keeping siblings together and assisting children who are aging out of foster care.
